Mission & Principles
What we are called to do — and the foundation we stand on while we do it.
To Mobilize the Church for the Work of Justice
The mission of Love in Action Social Justice Ministry, Inc. is to mobilize constituents of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World and beyond to address modern-day injustices within our local communities, nation, and world.
The ministry will serve as a hub that provides education, training, and opportunities to support the least of these by bringing about sustained change that reflects the Great Commission.
"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." — Micah 6:8
How the Mission Becomes Movement
Equip & Empower
To equip and empower members to live out our salvific requirement to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God." (Micah 6:9)
Educate
To educate members about the injustices and current events most impacting our communities, nation, and world — and the practical ways to address them.
Cultural Relevance
To create a culturally relevant space that keeps the organization at the forefront of humanitarian efforts worldwide.
Calls to Action
To facilitate calls to action that leverage the strength of our numbers and power as citizens of the Kingdom.
Build Networks
To build networks and collaborate with external organizations championing efforts to create a more equitable world.
Sustain the Work
To build systems and stewardship that outlive any single season, leader, or campaign, so that the work continues for generations.
The Four Pillars of Social Justice
The core focus of social justice advocacy is to ensure that all people in the community are considered in an equitable manner. There are four interrelated principles that guide our work.
Equity
Equity ensures fair distribution of resources across society regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, or socioeconomic status.
Access
Access ensures all people have access to goods and services regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, or socioeconomic status.
Participation
Participation empowers all people in a society to actively participate in the decisions that affect their lives.
Rights
It is the right of every citizen to have their civil liberties protected, be informed on decisions affecting them, and appeal any infringement on these rights.
Faith Without Works Is Dead.
This mission is bigger than any one of us, and yet it requires every one of us. Step into the work.
